NS ARC Deepens Commitment to Oklahoma Manufacturing Through Plant Showcase Event for Local Businesses

STILLWATER, Okla. – November 2024 – In a demonstration of its longstanding dedication to Oklahoma’s manufacturing sector, NS ARC recently hosted the Tailgates & Teamwork: Oklahoma Welding & Manufacturing Summit, an event that underscores the company’s impact on local industry.

Held at the NS ARC state-of-the-art plant and Welding Innovation Center, the summit attracted key attendees such as Fabwell Acquisition, Sawyer Fabrication, T&D Fabrication, and Forum Energy, fostering crucial connections and discussions around Oklahoma’s manufacturing future.

The event began with a plant tour, offering attendees an exclusive look at the company’s production capabilities and innovation-driven approach. This firsthand experience allowed attendees to engage in discussions about the company’s advanced manufacturing processes.

The afternoon featured networking over lunch and insightful presentations from industry leaders Kari Moore from the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, Leslie Stockel of Oklahoma State University and Chris Pruett, product manager at NS ARC. These presenters addressed a variety of topics, from inter-manufacturer collaboration to the urgent challenge of a welder shortage.

Stockel emphasized the instrumental partnership between NS ARC and Oklahoma State University. She highlighted how this collaboration aids student development through senior-level projects and employment opportunities, strengthening Oklahoma’s workforce with the next generation of skilled, industry-ready graduates.

Participants also explored key industry challenges, such as the welder shortage, with discussions pinpointing solutions around workforce development and improved pay structures. The summit was particularly valuable for local sales representatives, many of whom made their first in-person connections with representatives from larger manufacturers.

The day concluded with productive Q&A sessions, where interest surged for NS ARC welding wires, reintroducing NS ARC as an industry innovator. Attendees expressed a keen interest in receiving product samples, marking the event as a valuable platform for organic brand exposure and networking.
