Description

Tru-Core® FC 81T-Ni1 Welding Wire is a low-alloy steel electrode for gas-shielded, flux-cored arc welding of those carbon and low-alloy steels requiring a minimum tensile strength of 80 ksi and good CVN values at temperatures of -40°F and lower. This electrode is intended for welding in all positions, both single- and multiple-pass welds, using a shielding gas of 100% Carbon Dioxide.

Tru-Core® FC 81T-Ni1 Flux-Cored Welding Wire

Developed by NS ARC for optimized welding performance, the Tru-Core® FC 81T-Ni1 Welding Wire is a flux-cored welding electrode that works well with welders who utilize E81T1-Ni1C wire. It’s designed for low-alloy and carbon steels that demand high-tensile strength of 80 ksi while also providing good CVN values even at temperatures as low as -40°F. Engineered to perfection, this electrode is specifically created for gas-shielded, flux-core arc welding in all positions, allowing for single- and multiple-pass welds with remarkable ease. Utilizing a shielding gas of 100% carbon dioxide, Tru-Core® FC 81T-Ni1 delivers outstanding results every time.

The arc transfer of Tru-Core® FC 81T-Ni1 flux-cored welding wire operates in a smooth, small droplet mode, ensuring minimal spatter residue. The slag quickly solidifies, enabling welding in various positions while providing the necessary flow and wetting properties for impeccable bead geometry and tie-in, especially in horizontal fillets. With its unique characteristics, this welding wire allows for superior sidewall fusion, surpassing the performance of solid electrodes. Our Tru-Core® FC 81T-Ni1 is engineered out of our Stillwater, Oklahoma, facility, an ISO 9001:2015 plant, guaranteeing reliability and adherence to the highest standards of welding.

Many welders can enjoy the numerous benefits of NS ARC's Tru-Core® FC 81T-Ni1 flux-cored welding wire’s superior mechanical properties, including its fast-freezing slag system, remarkable bead geometry, smooth arc transfer, good low-temperature CVN properties, and smooth feedability.
