Alumi Glide® 4043 Aluminum Welding Wire

Alumi Glide® 4043 aluminum welding wire is a top-performing welding solution that delivers excellent results for a wide range of applications. Its 5% silicon composition makes it a popular choice among welders because it offers benefits that are not commonly found in other aluminum welding wires. One of the primary benefits of Alumi Glide® 4043 is its wetting characteristics, which make it easy to use and produce smooth, uniform welds. This feature is especially important for welders who work on intricate or complex projects that require a high degree of precision.

In addition to its wetting characteristics, Alumi Glide® 4043 also has a reduced crack sensitivity compared to other aluminum welding wires, which is crucial for welders looking for a highly dependable aluminum filler metal across several applications. The reduced crack sensitivity helps ensure that welds remain strong and durable over time, even in applications that experience high levels of stress or wear.

Alumi Glide® 4043 aluminum welding wire also features excellent wire surface finish for trouble-free welding. The superior cleanliness of this welding wire produces sound weldments, meaning that welds are strong and free from defects. For optimal ease-of-use an efficiency, our aluminum welding wire also boasts smooth-running characteristics, which help welders save time and increase productivity.

This versatile welding wire is recommended for several base metals and casting alloys, including 3003, 3004, 5052, 6061, 6063, and casting alloys 43, 355, 356, and 214. It has a melting range of 1065-1170°F and a density of .097 lbs./ci. Its post-anodizing color is gray.

Whether it’s used for joining parts together, repairing components, modifying equipment, or fabricating structures, the Alumi Glide® aluminum welding wire is the ideal choice for producing high-quality bonds. Its lightweight and high strength-to-weight ratio give it unique benefits. If you’re looking for more information on our Alumi Glide®, you can easily contact one of our NS ARC experts.
